How I could use technology in my classroom

Everything that I have learned in my Technology course I can use in my classroom with my students. The brochure, for example, I could send home to my students before the first day of class explaining myself and giving them a sense of what to expect in my class. I could also have them create a brochure on themselves for an ice breaker activity. Perhaps the thing that I am the most excited about using in my class is the web quests. I explored so many different web quests related to math (my field of study) and got so many good ideas for creating my own to help my students better understand math and have fun with it.

Insights I'm gaining from Tech Class

From my tech class I am learning that there are many options for using technology in the class room, I was completely unaware of these options before taking this class. One of the most interesting things I learned about was web quest, I explored lots of different web quest related to my field of study and was amazed at how useful they were and how easy they were to use. It's interesting to see how all the information we are learning in this class can be applied to different areas of our lives. Each project we have done so far in class I can find a use for in my own classroom.

Technology in Education

I believe that technology is very important to education and should be used as much as possible in the curriculum. Technology is something that children are growing up learning about and using, therefore they are extremely familiar with it. Because of this fact I believe it is important for all teachers to also be able to use and understand many different forms of technoloy to better relate to their students and to incorporate different forms of technoloy into their everyday lessons.
I'm not completely technology illiterate, but I definately will benefit from this class!
